Chief Warrant Officer 2, Douglas Vose III Statue Dedication

Sometimes the circumstances which connect us to wonderful people are less than desirable; this happens to be the situation with the lovely Nicole Vose, whom we photographed in CA when we lived there. Nicole’s husband, a U.S. Army Special Forces Green Beret, was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2009. Last year, when we were photographing a group of women from SSSG (Surviving Spouses Support Group) we met Nicole. Just hearing a little about her husband during our time together made us wish we could have met him.

Earlier this year Nicole emailed to let us know she would be in our new state, WA! We were excited to see her again and honored to be invited to her husband’s statue dedication ceremony at his high school in Concrete, WA. He was clearly a person who is loved, missed, respected and cherished by many.
